Virtual workshop

about

A three-hour introduction to trauma-informed and trauma-aware Yoga for Yoga teachers, practitioners and people interested in bringing a trauma-informed lens to movement and facilitation.

We look at how trauma and chronic stress can affect the body and nervous system, and what that can mean when someone participates in Yoga, movement, breathwork or other embodied practices.

The workshop introduces practical ways to support choice, agency and participation, while staying clear about the role and scope of a Yoga teacher or movement facilitator.

What we’ll cover

  • Trauma and chronic stress in the body and nervous system.

  • Nervous system regulation and recognising possible dysregulation during Yoga and movement.

  • Choice, agency and interoception.

  • Language, environment and facilitation practices that support participation and accessibility.

  • Professional boundaries, scope of practice and reflective practice.

No previous trauma-informed training is required.

What you'll leave with

  • Session recording (so you can attend live or access it later)

  • PDF workbook
